The planning process used to develop the strategic plan is comprised of two major phases – a strategic planning phase and an implementation / measurement phase.
Phase 1 – Strategic Planning
Assess the current situation, develop long term goals, and select the strategies that will advance the organization towards its vision.
Phase 2 – Implementation Planning / Measurement
Determine the specific actions or tactics, along with their resources and timing, to implement the plan. Regularly measure performance against established metrics and milestones to ensure the strategic plan is successfully implemented.
